Improv Theatre Course – Intermediate (EN)

Improvisation theatre is a great way to have fun, express yourself and make new friends.
You will learn to apply a positive mindset to unexpected adventures, work on your presentation skills and creative thinking skills and play out of your comfort zone.

The improv course for intermediate is 9 lessons plus a performance at a show. We will focus on: Yes and, playfulness, object work, activities and emotions, as well as overcoming fear to fail. We will do short form games known as theatresports.

For whom: intermediate players. You have already had at least one course, of have been playing for a year or longer. When you doubt about your level, send us an e-mail. Often the participants are a mix of expats, foreign students and Dutch people who want to improve their playing skills in English.  There is a beginners class on the same Wednesdays, 18:45-20:30

About Improv Utrecht: Marieke van Laar started Improv Utrecht during 2020-2022, when many expats and newcomers in Utrecht were looking for ways to informally meet other people. It started with free Drop-in lessons on Fridays and it has grown into a small community of fun improvisers. We like to go for drinks after the workshop or meetup for other occasions.

Marieke van Laar has been playing improv theatre for more then 25 years. She teaches at corporate teambuilding events, at Theaterschool Utrecht and other improv groups in and around Utrecht.
